About myself:

I come from Vietnam, a tropical South East Asia country. I grew up in Ho Chi Minh city, the largest city in the country. It is very much different than Perth, Australia, the place where I am currently living right now. I moved here to attend Curtin University and got my Bachelor degree in Marketing. There are so many differences in customs and lifestyle between the two places for me to list out when asked about. It took me a while but I finally adapt to living here this place. I started to refer live here in Australia where things seem to moved at slower pace compare to the hectic environment in Vietnam. One of my goal is to obtain citizenship to live and work here…it is a good thing that my parents don’t read blogs.

It often surprise me at how people ask one to summarize oneself in just one sentence. It has been always hard for me complete this task because a person’s character is very complicated. If I have to describe myself, I would say I am a Golden Retriever and not just because of those puppy eyes. I believe I possess the same calm and friendly manner that would help me to adapt new environment quickly. I have companionship and loyalty qualities that would me to stick to the same employer in a long period. I like socializing and that is an important trait that would aid me to extend my web of communication. I have the capability to not only complete my job on my own but be part of team. I love sport and play soccer myself so I understand just how important teamwork is. I believe that individual effort can make you shine for 5 minutes but it is the team work that make you last whole game. Lastly, I am my best self when performing my job,staying active and being out and about.

My field of interest in marketing, advertising and to be more specific, brand management. The discipline is about developing, planning and managing a brand’s activity, its communication with customer, create and uphold a positive brand’s image. The reason I love this industry is that it is not just about number and statistics but it is also a social, people and communication art. It is about delivering information to consumers that leave emotions and strong impression in their mind. It is more than just informing customers about sales, it is about recognizing customers as individuals and treat them with care and intimacy. It is about creating and maintain a strong connection and meaning full relationship between business and customers.

My dream job would be the position of brand manager or advertising and customer relationship officer for established fashion brands like Marc Jacob, Calvin Klein, Gucci…
